Robbery - 3XX MAPLE AVENUE, WEST, VIENNA, VA - 03/15/2010 10:34 AM

03/15/2010 10:34 AM. On March 15, 2010 at approximately 10:34 a.m. officers responded to a bank robbery at the Burke and Herbert Bank located at 302 Maple Avenue, West. Upon their arrival units determined that the perpetrator had exited the bank with an undetermined amount of cash along with a dye pack. The dye pack exploded a short distance away in a shopping center parking lot. The suspect is described as a black male 30-35 years of age, 6’ 2” approximately 275 pounds wearing a grey “hoodie” style sweatshirt and blue jeans. The man presented a note and demanded money from the teller. No weapon was displayed. No one inside the bank was injured as a result of the robbery. The Fairfax County Police Department’s helicopter and K-9 unit responded to aid in the tracking of the individual. Agents from the Federal Bureau of Investigation also responded to assist Vienna Police detectives in the investigation.
