Theft on CORNHILL STREET, ANNAPOLIS, MD

03/03/2010 04:20 AM. On Wednesday, March 3, 2010 at 4:20 AM officers went to the unit block of Cornhill Street for a report of a subject pulling on car doors. A witness described a man that he said walked up to the driver door of the witness’s vehicle, look to his left and right and then pull on the door handle in an attempt to open the door. The witness said that the subject fled when he banged on his window. Investigating officers saw a man matching the description given by the witness on Richard’s Lane. While speaking to the suspect, officers observed that the pockets to his outer jacket were full and appeared to be extremely heavy. When asked, the suspect told officers that he had an Ipod in one pocket and a GPS in another. The suspect matched the witness description of the person who attempted to get into his car, so he was placed into custody and transported to APD for processing. During the search incident to arres,t officers found a GPS and were able to locate the owner who told them that the GPS had been on the center console of her vehicle. Officers also found numerous other items during the search of he suspect. The investigation is continuing and charges are pending. Sheldon Ravon Tubaya, DOB 04/26/54 is charged with theft.
