01/25/2010 10:00 PM. A 17-year-old Wilmington boy has been charged with shooting two brothers, one fatally, Monday night, police said today. Aking Deleon, of the 1000 block of W. 3rd St., is charged with the first-degree murder of 18-year-old Marco Cruz and the attempted murder of Cruz’s 16-year-old brother. Carlos Torres, 20, also of Wilmington, is also wanted for the same charges, Wilmington police said. Torres remains at large. According to police, the two victims left their home about 10 p.m. Monday and were walking in the 200 block of N. Scott St. when they were approached by three men. One of the men started shooting at the victims, striking both of them. The 16-year-old was able to run from the scene, but his older brother collapsed. View Source. |
