Arrest on 122XX JUDSON ROAD, MONTGOMERY COUNTY, MD

11/19/2009. Detectives from the Montgomery County Police Major Crimes Division – Homicide/Sex Section made an additional arrest for the homicide of a man whose body was found in Wheaton at approximately two minutes after midnight on Wednesday, November 18. The second suspect is the wife of the man who was arrested and charged yesterday for the homicide. Maria Blanco, age 22, of the 12200 block of Judson Road in Wheaton was charged early this morning with first-degree murder and conspiracy to commit first-degree murder. Through the course of this investigation it was learned that the victim, Samuel De Jesus Chacon, age 34, of the 8300 block of Verona Drive in New Carrollton, had a child with Maria Blanco. Over the past several years there had been visitation issues between Chacon and Blanco over the couple’s six-year-old child. Rodriguez and Blanco devised a plan to lure Chacon to their residence, and once there stab him to death. It was yesterday morning, that a female motorist saw the unresponsive body of Chacon in the roadway in the 2500 block of Newton Street in the Wheaton-Glenmont area. The body was found not far from where Rodriguez and Blanco reside. Fourth District officers and Fire and Rescue personnel responded. Chacon was transported to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead. The body was then transported for autopsy to the Medical Examiner’s Office in Baltimore. It was determined that Chacon’s death was a homicide and that the cause of death was multiple stab wounds. Both Blanco and Rodriguez are currently being held without bond at the Montgomery County Police Detention Center. The investigation continues; but no additional arrests are anticipated at this time.
