A UT student was shot during a holdup near Main Campus over the weekend. Evan Smith, a freshman from Pickerington, Ohio, was walking with a group on Broer Ave. Saturday night in the neighborhood just south of Dorr Street across from Main Campus when a stranger approached and, shortly after asking for the group's belongings, shot Smith in his right hand and shoulder, the Toledo Police report stated. Smith was treated by Toledo Police on location and then moved to Toledo Hospital. He was released last night.
