A 16-year-old male was shot to death while walking down the street with friends. UPDATE: Police have identified a suspect in the fatal shooting Friday of Creston High School junior David Witherspoon, but the victim's mother said she's never heard of the suspect and doesn't believe her son knew him. Police say they are seeking Kyle Keenan, 21, who goes by the nickname "Grandpa." Shots fired from a passing 2000 or 2001 white Dodge Neon killed Witherspoon, 16, as he walked with a multi-age group of students along Kalamazoo Avenue SE, near Griggs Street. Keenan should be considered armed and dangerous, police said. Anyone with information about his whereabouts should call 911 or Silent Observer, 774-2345.
